- LwiddisExplorer IIAre you handy? You could do it.
- opnspacesNavigator IIHas anybody ever experienced what? Experienced paying $11,878.12 to replace a roof?
Can you expand a bit on what is happening and why you are considering a rubber roof replacement? - valhalla360NavigatorSaw a relatively new 5er headed the other way on the freeway today.
The rubber roof was wrapped around the air/con and flapping away...no signs of impact.
Unfortunately, there was no way we were going to get turned around and catch up to them, so it was still flapping away when I lost sight of him. - Roger10378Explorer IISo you want us to speculate on what you saw going the other direction while you estimated the cost to fix???
- drb1251ExplorerNO, I was wandering if it was commom the rubber roof adhesive failure to cause it to tear all the hell up.
- NamMedevac_70Explorer IIAfter many years of towing an R-Vision TT I never had any problems with the rubber roof including sitting in the hot Texas and Nevada sun on outdoor storage lots. I did frequently add a new coat of Dicor with long handle paint roller just for fun and insurance. It was easy on a flat roof and quick with little mess. Cost was cheap with no leaks or bubbles. The roof looked so pretty and white!!!! I have many photos of before and after. Cheers

It's not uncommon, most TT's/5th wheels are nothing more than slapped together garbage assembled from the cheapest materials the manufacturer can find, using whatever cheap unskilled labor they can find. The goal is to cash your check and then make it to the end of the warranty without any financial outlay on their part before the thing falls apart.

that is why I advise them on my CB radio of the problem.
oh, they don't have a cb, tough.
bumpy - TXicemanExplorer IIWe are getting the roof replaced on our 5er later this year and the cost is nowhere near $12k. You need to shop around for a less greedy shop.
Ken - ReneeGExplorerWe had an estimate last year of $5k (around that) to replace the roof on ours when it's ready. It's not ready yet.
