- I would suggest looking at some of the synthetic polymer style roofing material. They do roofs with similar material as bed liners.

Has anyone heard of someone putting aluminum back on instead of rubber, not planning on doing it just a thought my roof is 16 years old so gotta be around the corner.
I glad you have had good luck with your rubber roof. Mine failed after 5 years with several areas starting to leak through the roof membrane. The areas of failure were under the condensation drips by both a/c's.
Since this I have lost all faith in rubber roofs not to mention all of the caulking required to be checked/scraped off/replaced, etc.
I replaced my roof two weeks ago with This One. It was no more expensive than a new rubber roof and now I sleep much better. - gboppExplorer

I've never seen it but, no doubt someone has replaced rubber with aluminum. I think it would make a good roof.
The only problem I can see is bending the the aluminum to fit curves on the roof, some Will be easy and some not so easy.
But, maybe it's easier than I thought? - BumpyroadExplorer

looks good.
bumpy - jjrbusExplorerIt is raining out and I am a bit bored. So I Googled aluminum sheeting for RV roof. Got lots of hits and some interesting info.
My 94 Toyota RV has a one piece aluminum roof that was kept under cover, so is in great shape. Seals for vents and such still have to be maintained.
I do not see any reason to not do it, with one minor challenge. The sides of the roof would have to lap over the siding. I would not want the bent edge to be square I would want a radius or rounded. Maybe not an issue? I'm sure a sheet metal guy could do it with no problem.
Jim - 93Cobra2771ExplorerAt one time, there was a place local to me that did just that - aluminum roof on an rv. Never saw one done in person, though.
- RedRollingRoadbExplorerMany moons ago I had a '71 Tioga. Leaks got to be a problem, mostly around front window and cabover area. Sold it to a co-worker for a song, who was a much better mechanic than me.
At the time we both worked at a trucking company and he bought roll sheet aluminum that they used for trailer roof replacement. He took out front window and ran the sheet under the cabover to the top of rear window. Lots of curves to go around.
If I remember right he would snip the edge to make "tabs" and work it around the radius. After replacing the damaged wood, etc. he had a good looking, solid, watertight roof.
