Polyurethane Sealant

I need to redo all of the outside caulking on my trailer. I am referring to the seals around the windows, around water inlets, etc. Basically all of the outside locations on the sides of the camper.

I've read great reviews on the TremPro 635 Polyurethane sealant but my worry is the color. I believe it is gray. It is very popular on the Airstream forums which explains the gray color. Not sure if that will look good on my white camper. Can someone recommend something as good that is either white or clear?

Also, do I need to completely remove all of the clear factory caulking that is there now? It is clear but very dirty looking now.
  • X2 on the plastic scraper. I would also keep a bowl of soapy water nearby. If you dip your finger in the water and then run it down the bead of Dicor, you will get a better looking result.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. I have used self-leveling Dicor on the roof and forgot all about the vertical surface type.
  • Dicor works just fine for most people. It is formulated two ways, self leveling for flat surfaces, and non self leveling for verticle surfaces. Plastic scraper should remove any old caulking easily.
  • Yes, you should clean the old sealant so you get a good bond with the new. Proflex RV and Dicor are two favorites around this Forum. I used Geocel 2300, a brother of Proflex RV and am happy with the results.
