We have camped in high gusting winds several times, if it gets real bad I drop the jacks down to stop the rocking from the wind blasts.
One of these times we were ice fishing the conditions were miserable outside, temps in the teens and winds so bad that guys were chasing their gear across the ice.
Inside the camper it was like an oasis of calm and warmth, we just sat inside enjoying hot chocolate and watching the action outside. We were the only ones that stayed the night that trip, the other campers all headed out before sundown.
