I got the hawk (6.5') popup in a 2004 model and love it. Had it out to JV several times and never had a issue. Wife does not like the toilet and I prefer to use a large plastic bottle over the portie. Can't recall 70mph winds but yes that place is always windy. Mine has the outside shower with hot water which is always refreshing after a long day on the dusty trail. I just shower in a pair of shorts and flip flops. This camper is nice in that it is small and light, however it is not as good as any hard side once setup, but storage and driving with it is great. I used to sleep in the bed of my truck so this camper was serious upgrade.
Btw, my jeep is in my sig and even though you see a class a in there I still have my popup. The guy that sold it to me always bugs me to get it back. Class a for wife, popup for me on guy trip.
