Are truck campers exempt from the weight sticker requirement of other RV's?
What is a weight sticker requirement? In Nevada, DMV has no licensing requirements for a truck camper and Highway Patrol doesn't get involve with RV's unless there is an accident on the highway. My camper doesn't have a weight sticker, my 5th wheel did. Many truck camper manufacturers put one on though and include a horizontal COG. Although IMO, there are two COG measurements: horizontal and vertical. I am really curious about those BIG truck campers vertical COG, when they build their campers over the truck rails.
IMO, you really need to personally visit each brand for yourself. Me telling you that I really like my Outfitter or some body else telling you they like their Four Wheel Camper doesn't help you much at all. For instance, while I have a lot of respect for Four Wheel Campers, I wouldn't get one. Not enough amenities, too difficult to get in and out of to name a few things. But others prefer the lightness and simplicity of FWC. Are tank capacities important to you? Bathroom & shower option? Do you want to be able to use the bathroom while the top is down? Bunch of things to consider based on your priorities.
