Popup air conditioner wiring

Scored a Coleman Mach (1?) rooftop air conditioner unit off craigslist yesterday. It came from a popup travel trailer, and has a 20A power cord.

Sure, it would be easy enough to just dangle the cord and plug it into an outlet, but I would like a cleaner installation.

How is the AC unit wired up in your popup TC? How do the wires traverse the canvas down to the lower unit?

My STARCRAFT 14 R/T trailer is more like this GOOGLE PHOTO where the cord is in a ceiling wire mode strip until it gets to the side of the ceiling. Then it is just a long cord wrapped around a couple of side hooks. This is all hid behind the valance curtain that goes around the trailer on the inside. When the roof is raised then this cord is removed from the hooks and dropped down one of the end window flap and goes behind the wrap around seating arrangement our trailer has and is plugged into a 20AMP socket inside one of the storage door lids.

My trailer ceiling has those two steel angles mounted on both sides of the air conditioner to support the weight of the air conditioner on the roof.

I have never seen a trailer where this cord was permanently mounted and not plugged in. I like the plug idea as i can unplug this from my POPUP 20AMP plug and use a generator or some other 120VAC source to run the air conditioner.

Here is another GOOGLE PHOTO which is what I normally see in POPUP trailers. Mine is more like this but the wiring cover only goes as far as the roof ceiling side and is behind the valance curtain. My 120VAC cable is a good 12-15 feet long...

In your case I bet if you look around on the bottom floor area you will find a spot where your cord will plug into a 20AMP socket somewhere going to your 120VAC Circuit breaker panel area...
