Are you going to be running your panels in series or parallel, using the high er voltage may help getting the most current output through your MPPT controller. Is most of your RF broadcast of through the line i.e. would a Faraday cage help on top of the line filtring.
The folks at Progressive Dynamics are helpful and one of their lines is medical so I would think their engineers would be knowledgeable, and they are in Michigan.
If you do not have your solar controller you might want to check Morningstar. They are arguably one of the best and the range of where their controllers end up, third world countries... often powering radio equipment would suggest they are on top of things. Their set points are programable using a computer and interface
I have a Lifeline 150AH AGM battery that will accept a high charge rate and though I have not used it have it set up with a 150A Anderson Powerpole connector and 000 welding cable jumpers that I can attach to the TV battery to charge in an emergency (persistent bad weather).
Balmar makes a voltage regulator http://www.balmar.net/PDF/regulator%20info%20s/MC-614.pdf that is programmable.
