The extreme of this is like going back to the tent camping days where you survived a three to four camping experience with a bag full of D-CELLS and white gas for the lanterns... Everyone ran around with their own flashlight and alot of candles got used. Altho these were fun times back then things has changed abit for us camping now with all of the modern day appliances available to use. hehe...
Everyone has their own level of comfort but I'm quite certain that there is a pretty huge expanse of middle ground between using 130AH of battery power EACH DAY and a return to camping with flashlights and candles.
Seems just a bit ironic that with all the modern conveniences and electrical powered gizmos, ultimately you are still using a POPUP CAMPING TRAILER! :B
But hey, it's your gig and your money.
As to the success stories you are skeptical of, I would have to hazard a guess that those that those folks are using but a fraction of the 130AH of daily use that you have.
Nonetheless, I am following the thread with interest as I hope to add solar to my rig at some point.
