You would be laughing even harder seeing my 8x5 utility trailer being towed by my Ram 5500. This same trailer is also towed by my VW TDI.

Marty your a Godsend. Yes in the REAL WORLD it is more than a mild 7% gradient. So the Ike Gauntlet does not mean much here or in Europe, especially where the gradients can be frightening.
They tow with anything ib Europe. So a Sportscar towing is not ridiculous.

I've not cared who's first to the top of the hill, I only care about getting up the hill still moving. I've seen and stalled a few too to many rigs on steeper grades. I'll take a rig that goes 40mph up a typical 4-6% freeway grade, pulls a 40% grade. Vs the one that goes 60mph up said freeway grade, but stalls on a 15% grade. One rig made it to finish, the other did not.

The last video is the only one that makes sense for real world towing.

The video of the Porsche towing the trailer
is real world towing that is if you live in Europe. Ike Gauntlet is not. Can any US Pickup tow a 5000lb trailer around Nurburing and beat the Sportscar time? It is a combination of towing ability, handling acceleration and speed..

It would be good to see that Porsche tow the average RV trailer that people here use.

Well a Porsche towed an Airliner. Can a US Pickup match that towing record? Personally I do not think so.

Marty there is now a record that someone with a " hot " pickup can break. It is up to
them to do it. I know many car manufacturers
like breaking the record around Nurburing without towing anything.
