You know, after reading all your responses and opinions, Im rethinking this. Other than the weight I'm liking the Champion 3400 inverter dual fuel, especially the propane part for home and TT. It's clean, easy to transport and to store. The 3400 will meet all my needs. Anyone have anything bad to say about Champion?I'd love your. opinions
Haven't deicided yet, but comparing pros and cons about brands.
Propane has some drawbacks. Fewer BTU/gallon, so you'll burn more. It is more expensive than gasoline. It is harder to find, especially outside of normal business hours. Propane doesn't gum up the carb, so if your genny sits unused for long periods it may be an advantage. But for the most part, gas is less trouble.
another drawback of propane on a dual fuel generator is that usually the max output goes down with propane/NG vs gasoline.
