Re the water coming in with the slide....that is usually eliminated with just installing a slide cover/awning. You'd be surprised at the amount of water that will build up in the awning. After a rain I bring ours in a foot or two and let that water run off, then another foot or two until it's completely emptied. The water actually creates a pool and holds way more than you would expect. The final closure will still have a surprising amount of water. Stongly suggest you have that included if it's not already installed.
