I tried to make reservation in South Padre, TX KOA camping and regardless $90 a night, they don't have anything available for next 3 weeks. I did not check farther.
There is more in the World than Washington.
Yes, if you're going to forgo advanced planning; if you're going to insist on staying in a city that doesn't legally allow overnight camping, then you're going to have to make a choice:
Go elsewhere
Plan ahead and pay for a spot
or break the rules
It doesn't matter to me which you do, just don't expect to brag about the "great places" you've illegally camped and have everyone cheer you on. And don't suggest that by doing it, you are somehow helping the rest of us.
