I spent many a night in the sleeper of my double bunk Western Star 'stealth camping' in rest areas, on the berm side of on and off ramps and in WalMart parking lots (and others) and never has issue one. I avoided truck stops like the plague.
My Western Star had everything but a shower in it. Compressor fridge, microwave, TV, toilet, air conditioning, heat (I had a auxillary diesel engine that provided 110 power and heating and cooling without running the main engine.
When my wife and I go somewhere with the TC and I get sleepy or want a break, I do the same thing. Spent many a night in rest areas in the camper. never tried a city street, but I am game.
