Hi Larry,
Please continue to use the inadequate protective devices for 30 amp services that create a false sense of security.
There is a reason to use a device with 50 amp-as a bad neutral can fry an RV likidy split. It is too bad that RV makers did not stay with 30 amp and use load shedding devices instead. The technology exists and I've seen it in action.
As to the need for an autoformer and changing parks, I've never been to one where voltage drop did occur when the park is full and the weather is hot. So changing parks is pretty much useless.
Instead of changing parks, I have an alternative way to run high draw appliances, when voltage drops below 109. This solution was four times more expensive than an autoformer.
I spend MOST of my time off the grid, and when I do have power it is often 15 amp. My solution works with 15 amp, too.
