what about the 6.7?
I will post that one later once the article is posted on their website. Next is the 6.0L.
Oh, that will be an interesting one. :B I bought a 1996 F-250 SC 4x4 7.3L 5 speed manual new that I still regret selling to this day. I bought a 2003 F-350 SC 4x4 DRW 6.0L to replace it......loved the truck but the engine not so much. Took a major bath on it when I sold it. :M
The 7.3L is by FAR the best diesel Ford ever put in a pickup to date. I looked long and hard to find a Super Duty CC 4x4 DRW Lariat with a 7.3L prior to buying my current truck but couldn't find a cherry that someone was willing to part with.
I would never want to go back to a 7.3PSD after owning my 6.7PSD.
I know what you're saying but I guarantee that the 7.3L will be a much cheaper truck to own in the long term. It doesn't have any of the very expensive quirks that the 6.7L does.
Agreed... A non emissions truck will always be more reliable than todays emissions equipped diesels in the long run, but so far my '12 6.7PSD has been very economical IMO to own with 162k miles to date.
