Love my 2000 DRW CC LB 7.3 Lariat.
Just turned 170,000 miles.
I will admit that in its OEM form it is just a workhorse, not a beast. It needs some mods to REALLY wake it up, and yes it will still be reliable.
I have a Banks Stinger plus kit: Exhaust, quick spool turbine housing, big head waste gate, Ford AIS air intake, Riffraff billet compressor wheel <--awesome mod, bellowed coated up pipes and PHPhydra 16 position tune with change on the fly.
Stock power is rated at 250hp/500tq
Pulling the 7K trailer I run the 80 hp tune and it runs fantastic.
On the street I run the 140 hp tune....drag racing I would put it up against any modern OEM diesel in that setting, just got to be easy on the trans shifts, lol.
