I use a BlueOx swaypro, and I never disconnect it for any specific driving situation, or even for backing up. It gets connected when I hook up, and it stays connected until I am completely parked and situated.
I can't specifically address this issue with a propride or hensley, but I can't imagine I would use them any differently.
