We had a flat on I-40 on the front of our TV in June. I use an Equal-izer WD hitch, and could not jack the front of the truck off the ground. It finally dawned on me that with the WD hitch connected, I was trying to lift the entire truck and trailer tongue with the jack, basically pivoting everything around the trailer axles. I disconnected the hitch and jacked it up as usual.
This may be RV 101 stuff, but I had never thought about it until faced with it.
