Agree. I do not mind buying something "as is" but I want to know what the "AS IS" is. Never met a dealer who would tell you the is.
I think I had an honest dealer. His customers within the northeast typically agree. Anyway I trust Bill from East End Campers and his other location, Truck Camper Warehouse.
In addition I bought a used camper from Bill that he was selling on consignment. The sellers agreed to have the camper in like new condition and of course Bill did any needed repairs and charged the seller. I would highly recommend that way of buying a used camper.
My unit had no leaks and did not leak for at least a couple of years.
