Interesting video about these trucks. While I like Ford trucks, I think he has a point about the 05-07 trucks being the best bet. Kinda true also for other makers due to all the emission requirements now. That's another reason why I have left the diesel movement. I mean I have used both, the 01 Duramax that my parents had was awesome. At 250K she was traded in for a new ride. But to upkeep the new ones, well I don't have the deep pockets.. We have a friend that just lost their 6.7 due to an piston issue. While I don't know the specifics yet, it is an 11 model. Didn't a few have those have a crankshaft issue?? not sure... anyway at work our 6.4s are just falling apart at low miles with the front engine cover oil/collant mixing issues. While we still have some older 6.0 engines with upgrades that are still working with well over 200k on them. I don't want to take another chance on issues or getting stuck so gas engine it is. It may be no diesel but no headaches. And with gas its just so much easier to keep up and for me to work on.. just my thoughts only guys..
