If you have to carry gasoline, you might as well carry propane unless you’d rather have a gasoline generator because of other reasons like how quiet they can be. The reason why small RVs don’t have gasoline engine generators is they don’t typically have gasoline storage built in.
I'd much rather carry an extra LP tank than a can of gas.
Where are you going to mount a gas tank if you do convert the generator to run on gas?
