Propane question

I gotta stupid question. Is there a connector that will go from a regular gas grill connection to my quick connect on my camper? If so where can I get it? And a picture of it would be nice or a link. I’m sure it’s an easy find I just don’t know the proper name of conversion part. Thanks
  • I took the pressure regulator off my little Weber and was able to use a 1/8" NPT connection to 1/4" male fitting in place. Had a 15' hose made with female connections on both ends and simply attach to a fitting I installed at the tanks AFTER the regulator. Works great and the reason I went this option was that I had read about small sand/dirt and grime particles clogging the quick coupler connections.
  • Yah, not so easy...

Short answer is that you need a temp reg on the grill... then just run a hose.

Problem is that the 'Quick Connect' is LP regulated from the camper tanks so you can't use the normal hose with a reg on it..

If you find a hose without a reg on it, then you get a quick connect end for the camper end and then screw into the Grill.

Key is if the grill has the Temp control on it... otherwise you'll have to keep adjusting the flow from the quick connect..

Hope that helps.. just don't use a hose with a regulator on it... as it's then double regulated and no pressure except like a Bic lighter...

Hope that helps, should be an easy thing, but Nooooooo... heheh...

I believe the direct hoses are easy to find, it's the grill having the controls on it that you have to look at...

    Happy cooking..
  • Don't think so as the grill is made to accept a propane tank of some sort. You have to remove the regulator from the grill and probably convert it to a quick release. I'm sure someone with more info will be along soon.
