propane/water heater

Still a rookie.....my question is: when my hot water heater is running, heating my 6gal tank, what will the heater do if the propane tank runs out of propane during the heating process? Will it just shut off? 2015 Forest River Wildwood XLite Suburban heater. thanks in advance!

    A related question. Do you have two propane tanks on your trailer? If so you will need to understand how the switch over valve works.

    You will also see a "check" light come on the main panel (or at least your should see one) when it does not ignite.

    With no fuel it will have nothing to run on. It could not do anything but turn off.

    It would be the same as when your neighbouring camper walks by and turns off your propane tanks. It will turn off, the water won't be heated and the wife will scream blue murder and you're sleeping in the tent.
