Some synthetics do not mix well with silicone RTV and will then attack 'some' seals. Suggest using non-silicone gasket sealer
Diff lube has some of the highest working lube temps and expands. There is anti-foaming additives to prevent it
The vent is supposed to take care of pressure build up....but many are plugged. Best to check or as I do...replace the valve when changing diff fluid...but have found few flush their diff fluid on a regular schedule
