You do know you can just walk out to the truck and read the PIS stamped on tire right? The tire manufactures stamp the PSI max and min ratings right on the tire. The door sticker is the vehicle manufactures recommendations and we all know how well that worked out for Firestone now don't we.
Go with the tire manufacturer PSI rating not the vehicle manufacture!
Don
The correct answer! Look at the side of the tire for pressure. Most will be 80 max on E rated and you need hi pressure valve stems. At this point whats the max PSI for the rim? Stamped on the back side in most cases, maybe inside the tire but there is a rim pressure also.
Not at all the correct answers...actually the opposite of the correct answers!
So lets here why than? We all know what happened to Firestone when Ford demanded a lower PSI rating then Firestone wanted. By doing that Ford caused the tires to over heat and in the end caused them to blowout. This caused loss of life to their customers and law suits against both companies.
