Yes, it is longer. However, you can actually turn sharper than most standard hitches. I didn't do a before/after comparison on mine, so I don't know the difference in turning radius.

I do know, however, that due to the cam action in the hitch head, it might actually turn a little tighter than before. When making a turn, the hitch head shifts to the other side, which changes the angle between the trailer and TV.

Yes, a longer hitch will improve your turning radius because you increase the distance between the truck and trailer and the grater angle that's allowed.

Yes it's longer, I think the manual says 12" but that's going on memory. Mine does actually turn sharper with the 3P.

I can go to almost 90 degrees with the PP, so I have no doubt my turning radius is tighter than with a regular PP. Yes, it does add that extra length, but one benefit is that I can open the liftgate on our 4Runner when hooked up.

Same here I can open my tailgate on my Ram.

X whatever the # is :). It gives you much tighter turning while pulling the TT more in line behind the TV on turns. Awesome piece of engineering!!!
