I use the hand crank that came with by stabilizer jacks and count turns on the ProPride jacks. 35 turns works for my setup.
As for the link bars, I use the hole that allows for the hitch to be level, (parallel to the ground) when all tension is released. This allows for easy unhitching. I didn't think that the bars need to be parallel to the ground.
