Protecting Front Cap Paint and Decals from Fading

I have been reading both here and on other forums about the paint and decals on front caps of both campers and trailers fading and oxidizing. Has anyone ever tried to have the clear 3M protectant inst...

My AF811 is reaching 6 years old and has never had any oxidation/fading problems on the nose.
That graphics on the front aren't perfect though. They started to fade after about a year and that's as bad as they have gotten.
