I called the dealer again this morning to ask a few more specific questions. And I know, you shouldn't always/ever trust the dealer :) I will get to that in a minute.
He put my mind at ease about both models. Both are full framed (one in wood and one in aluminum) and he has good "relationships" with both the companies. So as far as build quality goes, he made it sound as if they were both very similar. Then he proceeded to go into the benefits and drawbacks of each model. At the end of our 40 minute conversation, I am not further along in my decision making process, but I am assured that I would be happy with both models.
In terms of the Dealership, I'm working with a small place called New Generation RV in Burlington Wisconsin. They have been amazing through this process. There was no pressure to buy, no trying to up-sell us, and tons of good information. The owner even took us into the service area to show us some of the differences in models. I'm almost afraid to say it, but I think I might actually trust this place... From the moment you walk in, you can tell they LOVE camping and love what they do.
