Just wanted to put this out there out of curiosity:
Pull Through and back in sites each have their own advantage/disadvantages. I tend to like the back in sites, as I feel they are more secluded on 3 sides. Which type of site do you prefer and why?
1. if you are traveling to a destination and plan on staying overnight at a RV park along the way, then my choice is a pull through site. Hooking and unhooking a trailer or 5th. wheel takes extra time and not needed unless there is a reason. Generally a spoter to help you go into a Pill Through site is not as critical.
2. Back in sites can be more more of a challenge if there are trees, bushes close to the edge of the rv site or over head tree limbs that could possibly hit the top of your RV. The angle you have to turn your RV as you are backing up into the site can also be a challenge. It is always safer to have spotter to help you back into to a site.
I recommend stopping at the registration station and then walk to your site to make sure it fits your RV. - maddog348ExplorerSame as colliehauler. Sometimes don't even unhook the toad. In at 7p out at 6a not much time to Dude it up.
JM2¢ ~~ YMMV - colliehaulerExplorer IIIFor a quick overnite a pull through is nice. Destination I prefer a back in.
- trailer_newbeExplorer IIII prefer pull through, but at the end of the day, some of the best camp sites I’ve been in were jack knife back up. It’s just a little extra hassle, but once settled in who cares.

It all depends on the park. No preference otherwise.
X2
I won't eliminate a site or decide either way. I take each site on its own merits. PT vs BI are further down the list.
I also factor in how long I'm staying.
I have learned to be more choosey if I'm staying awhile.
If its a short trip I will sometimes settle for a lesser site. - Camper_GExplorerI like back in best for the privacy

- rhagfoExplorer IIIWell I prefer back-in, even when it requires backing down a road to get to the Host site. Our site is at the red arrow, it is about 100' down a somewhat narrow road, then treed on both sides. We are the 4th large site down this road.
- 1320FastbackExplorerNo preference other than they have enough room for the required maneuver.
I do agree back in's tend to be wider and more room for patio activities.
