That is most likely a block heater option. Kind of a rip off since they all have em but some don't have the cord connected. That cord cost's about 200 bucks at a dealer or $25 if your able to do it yourself. Most all trucks in the snow belt have em as OEM ( even my gasser Canyon). Most trucks in the southern region don't have em and really don't know why the northern sections need em :B
