pump mod for roadside stops

After causing flooding by forgetting to turn off my pump after a roadside stop, I made this mod.

I fished a wire from my convertor panel to them bathroom wall and the other side to the hot side of my pump. I installed a non-locking push button. I no longer have to turn on the pump, a press of the button puts enough pressure in the lines to flush and another press, enough to wash my hands. I put it next to an outlet so I could get inside the all & fish the wires. I actually installed that A/C outlet, it runs off an inverter so i can power my waterpic and charge my wife's swiffer when not hooked to shore power.

Even though my pump switch is inconveniently hidden by the sofa slide when it's in the travel position I can't say we've ever forgotten to turn the pump off after a roadside stop. Interesting idea though.
  • Do you have a link to the thread about the flooding? My pump is on all season long unless I've run out of water.
  • That looks like a handy mod, but I'm wondering how you caused a flood by forgetting to turn off the pump. Did you forget to turn off a faucet too?
