Not knowing anything about your location, and/or the environ, emt of your creek makes this a difficult question to give an accurate answer. Best get a local water quality person to advise, and also perform any necessary quality test. Although water quality has changed over the recent years, many people live and do well on water from springs, many times some distance from the source. I was told many years ago that in rapid-flowing, sunlit streams, the sunlight and air bubbling purified the water. However, it does not filter out other pollutiants. After investigating, I would have no problem with creek water. If you live in a highly populated area, the creek water is probably MUCH better than what comes out of your taps at home. Have that stuff analized sometime!!
BTW, you might want to check on your bottled water. Where it comes from, and how it is treated. There are a LOT of suprises there!! Creek wter could be better!
