I wonder in the future if one gets a gash in the outside wall, the best way to fix this, so a tear doesn't become a quick avenue for water intrusion.
I'm guessing the quick fix would be a piece of metal over it, glued in place, the edge then caulked with a non-silicon caulk, and then Eternabond tape placed over it? This way, the rain being driven at 70mph on the highway will have a tougher time getting in.
