quality travel trailer - Lance, Nash, Arctic Fox, etc

Looking for a smaller TT for predominantly summer use with the ability to stand up to bad dirt roads, but not true off road.

Will sleep 2-4 for a weekend, maybe up to a week supplemented by a tent in good weather.

Will serve as a guest room at the house at other times, with hook ups, under shelter.

Live in the Northwest so we get mild dry summers, very wet falls and winters, and snow in the mountains during the winter. We would ideally be able to tow this to the mountains to ski out of for 1 night at a time - in that case we wouldn't go in terrible weather, but only if the weather is pretty decent.

Tow vehicle will be a Dodge Durango 8 cylinder with the following specs:

Towing capacity: 7200 lb and Max tongue weight: 720 lb. I can't find the payload information easily online though Google says 1400-1900 lb. So I thought I could pretty easily get away with a TT in the GVWR 5000 lb range or a little more, giving me some leeway to carry passengers and some cargo in the SUV as well.

So: I mention the above brands (Lance, Nash, Arctic Fox, Outdoors RV) for feedback on quality/reliability, which is very important to me.

What do you think of those brands, and are there others you would recommend I look at?
  • All your listed choices have a good reputation for quality. I'm not thinking than any Arctic Fox, however, are within your 5000 lb. GVWR range.

    Good luck with your choice.
