While it may be true that this engine accounted for a great deal of warranty expense I can't for the life of me see why what was probably Ford's most expensive/complex production engine at the time being used/abused in the most extreme environment's on the planet wouldn't have some of the largest cost associated with it. I didn't really expect Ford's 4.6L Triton in the Lincoln's and F150's to be leading the pack............did you?
The lawsuit is settled and nothing broke on my truck in six years 135000 warranty..........is that good luck or bad luck........Oh well we'll see what the next 270000kms has in store for me - more tires and brake work I'm sure......
