I have a FunFinder with the Schwintek rack and pinion type slide. It has worked fine now for four seasons. I did have one issue that I blame on the trailer manufacturer (not Lippert).
Under the slide floor and attached to the trailer there are three nylon rollers. One of those rollers was so impacted with caulking that it had never turned like it was supposed to when the slide moved in or out. As a result I started to get damage to the bottom of the slide floor. The damage could only be seen by crawling under the slide when it was extended so it went un-noticed for a long time. If you have rollers like these I suggest checking them.
