Question about Lippert slides

The 2015 Passport 2400BH I am looking at buying has a Lippert slide-out room according to the dealer. I have heard mixed things about these slides, but from what I understand their smaller ones are generally better, is this true? The slide is small and only contains the dinette. Thoughts?

Are you referring to cable driven or gear rail driven slides? My fiver has gear driven rail slides (Lippert) and have never had issues. They are proven and have been in use for a long time.
I have heard of issues with the cable driven slides (stretched cables, pulleys coming loose, etc).

Great... I believe mine is the cable driven version...

...Don't. Stress and worry about it. I am sure there are thousands of units with cable slides that have never had an issue. Enjoy what you bought or as edited...enjoy whatever you are thinking of buying.
  • My MH has a full slide that is hydraulic. It runs the hose over and takes off the Lippert Jack system. The only problem I have had is several of the connectors were loose and leaked. Once tightened seems OK. I had a slow hydraulic leak in the slide hose and slide drifted out after a few days. Didn't notice it during the warranty period because it was such a slow leak. I tightened up the connection and no further problems.
