I don't avoid the all up, but I stop and check to make sure that going down (while camper is on the ground) that they are all still on the ground. I tend to have one that wants to go faster from time to time and leaves the ground. I don't have that problem going up although they can get out of height adjustment.
I haven't had one make more noise than the others, but maybe yours need some lubrication.
