After what I did to my setup, I would not weld it. My end solution to wobble stopping the deck was shimming the tube the went into the receiver. Then vertical and horizontal 5/8" bolts. I used 4. Put on with a breaker bar and a 3' extension. I did gusset the platform 3' 3" from center post. Used 1/4" thick tubing that supports 2 people and whatever I decide to throw on it.
