- Victory402ExplorerDefinitely remove the old caulk, especially if it's silicon. I had better results removing old caulk with alcohol based solvent than with mineral spirits.

Not that there's anything wrong with mineral spirits, but I prefer denatured alcohol because it cleans better and dries faster. - stickdogExplorerGet a caulk removal tool, remove old caulk, clean area with denatured alcohol, apply new caulk. Caulking over old caulk is like lipstick on a pig.
- WyoTravelerExplorerLike previous post said. I wiped mine down with minersl spirits let it dry couple of days then used Proflex. My MH is parked inside. It is starting to get almost too cold to caulk outside now. Needs some 60 degree drying time.
- VegasBTExplorerWipe it with a rag with some mineral spirits, and let it dry before applying the new sealant.
