question on power awnings

The DW and i just bought a 2013 Gray Wolf 26BH, in fact we haven't even picked it up. I know this will be covered when we do the walk through but that's a couple weeks off. I forgot to ask about the power awning and i was hoping someone on here might know. Do all the power awning's has the auto retractor when the wind comes up or is that just on certain one's. I don't know about this one and on the switch doesn't say anything other than put it out and retract it back in. Not earth shattering, just wanting to know and i thought i would throw it out on here.

There are no straps on my power awning, you can't set them at an angle for rain eather. When I'm leaving the site or going to bed I roll it up

I do the same, if we are out of the site or gone to bed for the night the awning is rolled up.... every time! We absolutely love our power awning, we'll never go back to the spring loaded models.

Don 't know which model you have but most of the power awnings do have the ability to be tilted to promote drainage. On ours you just have to compress a couple of the pins and reset that particular arm. You can see the pins in this pic, while it is level here by shortening the arm a hole or two that end will be lower and you can achieve the necessary angle to insure good runoff:

  • It can be an option most power awnings. If installed it can be turned off and on as needed.

Just installed one on my FunFinder for Christmas. Nope that is a $400 option. roll it out when you need it and when your gone roll it back in. The way the wind gust, not sure if it could react in time to save it.

Truthfully i hope it doesn't have one on it. Can you still use the straps to keep it from flapping in the wind or do they not recommend them?
