Couple things to look at. Has it had a tuner on it? Has the front end been rebuilt? Not sure about 12's but earlier Dodges had a history of front suspension problems.
I would not be afraid of a 2012 with DPF as long as itmhas been properly maintained. The 6 speed manualmis nearly bullet proof. Clutches were the weak point.
