DEF does not set up like a rock in the fuel--that would probably be better, because then it wouldn't get to the fuel pump. All of these trucks with high pressure fuel pumps will trash the pump if water, DEF, alcohol, gasoline, etc. gets in the fuel. Read of a case where the tank truck driver contaminated diesel with gasohol, and it took out the pump. Then just after the pump grenades into metal flakes, it takes out the injectors which is the expensive part to replace. RAM guys might be less expensive with only 6 injectors. Ford has made the news because they sell the most trucks and they deny warranty if evidence of water is found in the fuel system. If that happens just hope that you can go back on the fuel station insurance. All engines with HP pumps have the same vulnerability.
