I too have had no problems with my 2012 Ford F-350 SRW at 42,000 mi (knock wood). The OP is going to looove his RAM. Ford, GM, & RAM are all good strong trucks. Maybe we should mention the positives of DEF. The present DEF trucks get much better fuel mileage than pre-DEF. RAM was the last to move and they were getting far worse mileage at 650 Ft. Lb. tune with no DEF than the competition, and what RAM gets now with 800 - 850 ft. lb. Now that all use DEF they should all be quite close on mileage everything else equal. DEF and the particulate filter make amazingly clean exhaust. You can run your finger around my tail pipe and get only road dust--no sooty, unburned diesel fuel like pre-2008. The cost of DEF is probably 10 - 20% the cost of the saved fuel.
