Boy am I glad I found this Q&A. Did a specific search for Dodge 3:42 Gear Versus Dodge 3.73 Gear.
A two for one answer. The information WRT to the DEF is Great. I talked to a salesman yesterday and he said that I put it at every oil change, 8K or so. Chuckle
The Gear question was why I was skulking around. We have not purchased our fifth wheel yet, and are working towards full timing. Our Dream trailer so far is a Montana 3735MK. It has a gross weight of 16,000 and is a hare over 39'.
My truck research shows that a SRW Dodge 3500 with a 3:42 Gear will pull 16,800 if all the other numbers stay in line.
What I can't find is the Max Tow with 3:73 and 4:10's. OBTW, The info on the 4:10's was great too. I Really Really wanted to stay with the 3:73, but rethinking that now.
Any thoughts or opinions will be nice to hear.
