I have heard of no problems with the 6.7. You hear sporadic reports of high pressure fuel pump problems but I haven't heard of any recently. And I think all three model trucks use the same HPFP systems made by Bosch.
The exhaust brake works great for me, we used it all the time coming down those western mountains. I occasionally had to apply the brake to slow down below 55 mph on long steep grades but when I let up on the brake the exhaust brake would kick in again and take it the rest of the way down.
I did have one problem with the truck, a cracked battery. The dealer replaced it and the straps.
