Well, from following all the threads here on the forum, along with other diesel related sites, it seems the failure rate for the Bosch pump runs at about 3 percent of total vehicles, and that is pretty much the same no matter if it is the Ford Powerstroke or the GM Duramax with this particular pump.
So the 97 percent really covers the pump fiasco. Unfortunately, seems this modern math of mine does not cover other problems listed, but surely they (I sure hope they are) are of a smaller percentage than the pump problem.
The Czech pump, when last I read about it some time back, was supposed to have some different metallurgy done with particular attention given to the inner parts, supposedly resulting in increased reliability. Now, to quote sources, I would have to scratch the old noggin and look hard, cause with all I have read related to the 6.7L Powerstroke, I just honestly do not recall where I saw this.
