For the do-it-yourself maintenance answers the Ford Truck forum is the best place.
Your MPG will go up, but when is anybody's guess. I have heard some guys claim it went up significantly at 20,000 or so. Mine didn't really improve much until around 30,000.
In my opinion you got the most important packages, the snowplow, trailer tow, and 11,500 GVWR packages are all worth it if towing medium to heavy trailers/fivers.
